TRAK – Toronto Racing Association of Karters

WHAT IS TRAK?

The Toronto Racing Association of Karters (TRAK), Club Racing Program at Goodwood Kartways was established to organize and promote amateur kart racing activities within a safe and enjoyable family environment. The Toronto Racing Association of Karters is a KartSport Canada affiliated club.

Goodwood Kartways in its 65+ years of history is a karting-specific race track that has helped groom Canadian motorsports stars such as Paul Tracy, Scott Goodyear, James Hinchcliffe and more. Racers from all over Ontario, Canada and the USA have visited the historic Goodwood facility to participate in a wide variety of karting events.  It is often said to be a “must have” on driver resumes.

TRAK was founded in 2008 and is dedicated to maintaining Goodwood’s years of tradition and to continue its rich history.

TRAK is committed to a focus on innovation in the sport of karting, striving to promote the sport of karting and continuing to offer a foundation upon which to help grow and develop Canada’s next motorsport stars.

Racing with TRAK is the best way of introducing yourself to the exciting world of motorsports.

From the beginner to the experienced veteran, it is a sport that involves the entire family. It teaches the humble way to enjoy a victory and continued success, as well as, overcoming defeat and moving on to the next race. It is a great way to grow as a family, a person, and as a driver.

The “go-kart” phenomenon began in the late 1950’s with informal parking lot events rapidly growing into organized competition on purpose-built tracks. Since then, the sport has spread around the world, forming a true “grassroots” of motorsports.

Members at TRAK, own and operate their racing karts following a set of rules and regulations designed to level the playing field and control costs. Racers are divided into dedicated categories organized by age, weight, engine type and experience.
